The school is located in Rissne, Sundbyberg. Approximately 60 students attend from preschool class through grade 9 and study according to the curriculum for adapted elementary school, subjects or subject areas. The school also has an afterschool program and short-term supervision. Our goal is to give students the best possible start in life, both academically and socially. Important pillars of the school's work are clarifying pedagogy, communication, and positive behavior support. Language development methods give students the opportunity to express themselves, which contributes to increased participation and independence, motivation, and safety. All students should feel secure at Risöskolan, as security is a prerequisite for learning. The role as afterschool team leader at Risöskolan involves leading the pedagogical work in an afterschool group according to current regulations. You collaborate with classroom teachers and other afterschool team leaders and are responsible for a safe, meaningful afterschool program. As an afterschool team leader, you work both in a classroom and in the afterschool program. During school hours, you participate in some planning and implementation of instruction under the classroom teacher's pedagogical responsibility. Key aspects of Risöskolan's operations: Focus on clarifying pedagogy, communication, and positive behavior support. Language development methods to promote participation, safety, and independence. Thematic work: close collaboration between teachers, afterschool staff, and student assistants. We are looking for you who are a certified preschool teacher or have equivalent education that the employer finds relevant. You have knowledge of and experience working in adapted schools with students with intellectual disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors. You have knowledge of alternative communication, clarifying pedagogy, and low-arousal approaches. It is meritorious to have experience working with students at an early developmental level, with a focus on knowledge development and increased independence. You have previously been responsible for leading or instructing childcare workers or student assistants in pedagogical activities. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. As a person, you are calm, persistent, initiative-taking, flexible, positive, and have good collaborative skills. You have experience working in different group constellations and taking responsibility both individually and as part of a group. You enjoy spending time outdoors/being active both on land and in water and enjoy working creatively. We place great importance on personal suitability. The position is a permanent full-time employment, starting January 11, 2027. Before employment, the employer will ask you to show an extract from the police suspicion and conviction register.
