Job Responsibilities We are now seeking a preschool teacher for our wonderful preschool, located in a nature-inspired and inspiring environment. We offer a six-month temporary position with the possibility of extension. The preschool has eight departments, one of which is Finnish-speaking. We work based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy. This means a project-based and exploratory approach where we learn together with the children. The children's curiosity, interests, and participation form the foundation of our work. Based on this approach, we create thoughtfully designed learning environments that support children's exploration. In our teaching, we use both unstructured and structured materials. With the help of pedagogical documentation, we make children's learning processes visible and develop our activities together. You build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You are also responsive in your interactions and show respect and consideration for others. You understand that children have different conditions and learn in different ways. Based on this, you create a safe and developmental environment where each child has the opportunity to develop at their own pace. It is a merit if you have experience working with Reggio Emilia inspiration. However, the most important thing is that you are communicative and have a willingness and interest in working in a project-based and exploratory way in preschool. You also need to have a willingness and interest in developing accessible learning environments both indoors and outdoors that promote children's creativity and learning and contribute to the pedagogical philosophy.
