We often say that the preschool's mission is big – because it is. It begins in everyday life, in relationships, in teaching, in play, and in meeting each child. Our Preschools Skee Preschool – close to forest, meadows, and exploratory learning environments Skee Preschool is located in a rural setting outside the central town of Strömstad and opened in 2019. The preschool has three teams with children aged 1–5 years and is built with children's perspectives in focus, including windows at various heights and open environments that allow even the youngest children the opportunity to look out at their surroundings. The forest is nearby, walking paths wind through meadows, animal enclosures with grazing sheep are just outside, and a large playground that invites movement, play, and exploration. The preschool actively works with sustainable development, reuse, gardening, and a thoughtful approach to the environment. With e-bikes, we can also venture into the nearby area, to the sea, and into Strömstad town center. At Skee, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a preschool with high ambitions, clear structure, and a strong focus on children's learning, security, and participation. Tångens Preschool – centrally located, relationship-focused, and full of possibilities Tångens Preschool is located near the town center, with proximity to nature, Strömsvattnet, playgrounds, and Strömstad Gymnasium. The preschool has three teams with children aged 1–5 years and has its own vision: You and I together make a difference every day. At Tången, we want to create an education where care, play, learning, and development are connected. Children's ideas, experiences, and influence should be visible in everyday life. Here there are good opportunities to develop teaching through the local environment, movement, language, creative expression, reading aloud, accessible learning environments, and shared reflection. At Tången, we are looking for someone who wants to help strengthen a preschool with a warm culture, a desire for development, and great potential. 2 position(s). DUTIES As a preschool teacher, you have an important and leading role in teaching. Together with your team, you are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, analyzing, and following up on education based on the preschool's curriculum and other governing documents. You create safe, inspiring, and accessible learning environments both indoors and outdoors that encourage play, exploration, creativity, language, movement, and interaction. You build on children's experiences, interests, and needs and give them real influence over their education. The role includes actively participating in systematic quality work. This means that you not only do the work, but also think about why we do what we do, what it leads to for the children, and how teaching can be further developed. You collaborate closely with parents/guardians and are a clear, secure, and professional contact in everyday life. You also contribute to a team where we talk with each other, learn from each other, and share responsibility for children's entire day. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed preschool teacher. You are communicative and good at capturing others' attention. You express yourself clearly, are a good listener and observer, and are at the same time responsive and open to others' perspectives and communication. You have the ability to find solutions to problems that arise and move forward effectively even when facing challenges. You are confident in your professional role, dare to express your opinions, and maintain composure and professionalism even in more demanding situations. This helps create trust with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues alike. You have an open and inclusive approach and help people around you feel welcome.
