Do you want to be part of building a new, adapted preschool program where children with different needs get the best possible conditions to develop? Do you want engaged colleagues who help each other, learn from one another, and are passionate about everyone's right to education? If so, we might be looking for you! Who are we? We are now seeking five new colleagues who want to join an exciting journey and build a new adapted unit at Månstenen Preschool. Månstenen is a newly built preschool located in Vilbergen, with good cycling paths, convenient bus connections, and proximity to both forest and parks. Månstenen offers modern and well-planned facilities with space for 130 children distributed across two floors, where a section constitutes an adapted unit located on the ground floor with space for 20 children. In the adapted unit, children with physical and medical disabilities will be offered the right to education on equal terms, through facilities and equipment carefully adapted to their specific needs. The adapted unit at Månstenen will open in January 2027. Together with engaged and competent colleagues with specialized expertise, you will ensure that we conduct a program that includes everyone and offers children the conditions necessary for them to acquire the content of the curriculum. Your responsibilities With us, you work from an inclusive and relationship-building approach to creating a safe environment where each child has the opportunity to grow and develop according to their abilities. You work according to current governing documents, plan, implement, and develop the preschool's education individually and together in education teams. Through collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and external partners, you contribute to giving children the best possible development potential. The role includes autonomous and qualified responsibility for creating conditions for learning, development, communication, and participation based on each child's individual needs. In addition to the pedagogical task, medical and practical support measures are also included, such as medication administration, tube feeding, diaper changes, and handling of assistive devices like lifts and standing frames. You actively participate in collegial learning and skills development to continuously grow and be inspired in your professional role. Who are you? We are seeking you as a certified preschool teacher who is curious, engaged, and confident in your profession. You have advanced competence in special education and rehabilitation work. You have experience planning, implementing, and following up on pedagogical and support measures through documentation and implementation plans, where you have been responsible for creating conditions for learning, development, and participation for children with special needs – or alternatively, completed special education training. Your view of children and your approach makes both children and adults feel seen, safe, and valued according to their abilities and capabilities. Your pedagogical positions are grounded in the democratic values that our curriculum is based on, and you have good knowledge of the preschool's mission, curriculum, and other governing documents. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form and are experienced in expressing yourself in documentation about children's development, for example through implementation plans. You are comfortable with a project-oriented work approach, work with pedagogical documentation, and use digital tools as a natural part of your duties. As a person, you are solution-focused, creative, and maintain composure even when the pace is high or unexpected situations arise. You take responsibility for your work, collaborate in a humble manner, and find it easy to create trusting and positive relationships with both children, guardians, principals, and colleagues. If you have experience with medical measures such as medication administration or tube feeding, and experience handling assistive devices such as transfer equipment, lifts, and standing frames, we consider that a merit. Knowledge of AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), sign support, sign language, and CPR we also consider merits, as they contribute to creating even greater participation for the children. Furthermore, we would like to see that you have good knowledge of handling threats and violence, with the understanding that children do right when they can. Welcome with your application!
