Job Responsibilities
As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for planning, leading, and developing the operations. You are responsible for instruction and ensuring that children's development and learning are documented, monitored, and analyzed. You actively work to promote children's ability to participate and have influence over their education by listening to children's perspectives, opinions, and needs. The preschool has a steering group, a literature group, and a development group where each work team is represented.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified preschool teacher with a strong sense of curiosity and ambition to develop in your professional role. We believe you are a preschool teacher with a positive basic attitude and a solution-focused approach. You have a passionate interest in language and literature and a genuine interest in being part of developing the operations forward. You collaborate easily and always put the child's best interest first. You believe in the competent child and give it the opportunity to succeed.

The preschool is one of Borås City's literature-certified preschools. We work thematically, and each school year we have a shared book that we work from. With the help of stories, we create a shared focus for our language and knowledge development work. The theme is used as a foundation to conduct teaching processes in an enjoyable way based on curriculum objectives and weave them into the book's narrative, images, and characters. Read-aloud groups, weekly book ambassadors, classroom libraries, various ways of processing what has been read, and imaginative language-stimulating environments are other parts that distinguish education with us. We have abundant access to literature in our environments and in the Preschool's own library.
Geographically, the preschool is located near the library we collaborate with, nature, outdoor areas, and public transportation. We have a wonderful yard with large grassy areas, berry bushes, and fruit trees. In the shadow of our large chestnut tree, in our story tents, and our book bus, we have cozy story time year-round. Story readings are often visited by the book's characters.
We are close to the children, capture their interests, and are inspired by their curiosity. Children should feel involved and have influence in the operations. We work with an open mind and want to offer children a fun and educational environment. A preschool where all children have the opportunity to develop and succeed and where learning is in focus.
Additional Information
Within the Preschool Administration, we offer free pedagogical lunches, work clothes, and you as a preschool teacher also have, on average, five hours of planning time per week.
