Your responsibilities
In this role, you are responsible for developing and conducting teaching with a focus on outdoor education, where learning is moved outdoors to nature, urban environments, and cultural landscapes to the greatest extent possible.
You organize and lead activities so that children can explore their surroundings through nature's resources and varied learning environments, including elements such as sustainable development, sensory experiences, species knowledge, play, movement, and creative work with natural materials.
You ensure that the curriculum permeates the activities through outdoor didactic methods and is made visible in pedagogical documentation. You actively work with systematic quality improvement and drive development together with colleagues and the principal.
The role also includes mentoring and developing colleagues' competence in outdoor education, learning environments, and risky play.
During your working hours, there will be scheduled shifts where both opening and closing of the preschool may occur.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a qualified preschool teacher with education in outdoor education, NTA, or equivalent that is assessed as equivalent. If you have mentor training for VFU, there is an opportunity to mentor students.
You have good pedagogical insight and experience in conducting and developing teaching with a clear focus on outdoor education and nature-based learning. You have experience with outdoor recreation and/or nature guiding and in using nature and urban environments as learning environments to create varied, changing, and accessible outdoor environments that stimulate play, exploration, and learning.
Furthermore, you have an understanding of child development, including the importance of positive risk-taking, and you have digital competence and understanding of outdoor didactics and how it can be linked to the curriculum's goals.
As a person, you are dedicated, empathetic, and independent in your role, with a strong interest in developing both individuals, learning environments, and outdoor pedagogical approaches together with colleagues. You create engagement and joy at work and have a professional approach toward children, guardians, and colleagues. You are flexible, driven, and maintain calm even in stressful situations.
The role requires that you can communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
