Our preschool is located in a scenic area with proximity to the forest. On the lower floor of the preschool, we have space for younger children, and on the upper floor, we have space for older children. In these spaces, we create environments where we can challenge children with materials adapted to each child's abilities and needs. In the spaces, there are themed rooms with different focuses such as building and construction, role play, sensory/experience rooms. The Learning Square should be a place for everyone to meet with a focus based on the curriculum—creativity, mathematics/technology/science, and language/communication. Here we want to create activities that children from all spaces can gather around. The materials should be changeable and able to develop according to children's interests and needs; it should focus on exploration, experiences, and interaction. We work with collegial learning—language and knowledge-developing working methods—with the aim of developing and stimulating children's language and communication. WORK TASKS You contribute to creating a pedagogical environment that challenges and stimulates children's development and learning. The pedagogical activities are based on each child's abilities and are built on teaching that is designed in accordance with the curriculum's objectives. You should have a good attitude and approach toward children, guardians, and educators. In a systematic way, you reflect on practical work individually and together with others, and you keep yourself updated on new research, events in the world, and see development opportunities in the activities. Furthermore, you are part of the work team and work to maintain good relationships and contribute to a good working environment. QUALIFICATIONS You must have preschool teacher certification with the authority to conduct teaching in preschool and have pedagogical ability and a clear pedagogical purpose to create a learning, enjoyable, and developing play/learning environment. You are well versed in the preschool curriculum and the Convention on the Rights of the Child and have the ability to implement these in practice. You can use digital technology such as computers and tablets in daily activities. You have knowledge of pedagogical documentation and systematic quality work. You have good cooperation skills and a willingness to work together with the work team to create a good working environment and a learning and enjoyable environment for children that promotes play and learning. It is also a merit if you are a practicum supervisor. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Start date: 2026-09-14.
