Do you want to work preventatively and make a real difference for children and families at an early stage? We are making a new initiative to develop and strengthen collaboration between social services and preschools – with a focus on reaching families at an early stage. We are therefore seeking two preschool social workers for our open care team in Kumla Municipality. These positions are part of an initiative to work more preventatively and in close collaboration with preschools. The preschool social workers will organizationally belong to the Family Unit's open care within individual and family services. The role will be an important link between social services, preschools, and families, with the goal of identifying needs early and offering the right support at the right time. You will become part of the Family Unit's open care – an operation with engaged employees working to support children, young people, and their families. In Kumla Municipality, there is already well-established collaboration between social services, preschools, and schools. We believe that collaboration is beneficial for our children and families, and we therefore want to continue developing our partnerships. WORK DUTIES As a preschool social worker, you will, among other things: • work preventatively and long-term with children and families, both at group and individual levels • work proactively and motivationally to reach families who may be in need of support • provide advice, support, and guidance to parents • collaborate with preschools, other internal and external actors • contribute to developing the new working method and role of preschool social worker • work to lower barriers to social services and increase accessibility for families QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who • Have a degree in social work or another relevant academic education that the employer deems equivalent • Have experience in social work, preferably within the child and family field • Have an understanding of, and preferably experience with, preventative and proactive work • Have a good ability to build trust and establish relationships • Are self-driven, flexible, and enjoy collaborating with different actors • Have a responsive and solution-focused approach to work Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. A B-category driver's license is required. Employment Type: Fixed-term position. Duration: 6 months or longer, Start date: 2027-01-01, End date: 2027-12-31. Working hours: Daytime.
