About the job As a research coordinator at Grants Office, you work closely with researchers at Linköping University and contribute to strengthening their opportunities to attract external research funding by offering qualified support throughout the application process – from environmental monitoring and strategic advice to developing competitive applications and support with implementation matters. The role has a particular focus on the EU's research and innovation framework program, Horizon Europe, but also includes other prioritized national and international funders. The work is both operational and strategic and includes development of project ideas, consortium building, as well as quality assurance and compliance in application processes. You work in an advisory function with broad contacts, and collaborate with researchers, internal support functions, and external actors. The role requires the ability to manage complex processes and contribute to developing working methods that strengthen the university's long-term capacity in research funding. Examples of work tasks: Provide qualified support in applications to EU framework programs and other prioritized funders. Contribute strategically to the development of project ideas and applications. Coordinate and conduct seminars and internal training. Monitor and analyze calls and policy development. Act as a contact person toward the EU Commission and other funders. Contribute to the development of internal processes and working methods. Provide coordination support in the implementation of awarded EU projects. To succeed in the role, you need a genuine interest in research funding and international research collaborations. About you We're looking for someone with a research background who wants to use your expertise in a new role where you continue to work in the research and innovation system. You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, with a well-developed ability to structure, prioritize, and drive your work forward efficiently. You have a holistic perspective and can put matters into a larger context, which means you navigate well in complex and changing environments and identify opportunities even when conditions change. Furthermore, you have excellent collaboration skills and actively contribute to a constructive and respectful work environment. Beyond the personal abilities and skills described above, we want you to have: Doctorates degree Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both English and Swedish It is meritorious if you have: Experience with EU applications, especially Horizon Europe Good knowledge of the international research and innovation landscape Experience in research funding and research support Experience in having yourself applied for and been awarded research funding Your workplace Grants Office is part of the Research and Innovation Support Department, FINA, at the University Administration.
