Research Assistant in Computational-Based Electrolyte Design

Department of Chemistry - Ångström conducts research and education in chemistry. The department has 270 employees and generates 300 million kronor in annual revenue. Special Subject Description The project involves implementing an agent-based workflow for the generative solvent design system (GSDS), based on our recently published study (https://doi.org/10.1021/acsnano.6c06255), as well as utilizing large language models (LLM) for designing electrolytes for rechargeable batteries. Job Responsibilities The position includes assisting with research in the above-mentioned project. Tasks include literature review, scientific programming, simulations, and result analysis. This also includes communicating scientific results through reports and presentations. Results are expected to be summarized in scientific publications. Qualification Requirements For employment, the following are required: - Master's degree in computational science or theoretical chemistry. - The applicant must have excellent knowledge of scientific programming (Python or C++). - The applicant must have good knowledge of large language models (LLM). - Excellent English proficiency, both spoken and written. Great weight will also be placed on personal suitability. Consideration will be given to good collaboration skills, drive and independence, and how the applicant through their experience and competence is assessed to complement and strengthen research within the department/institution and contribute to its future development.
