Research Assistant

Department of Economics The Analysis Group at the Department of Economics, SLU is seeking a research assistant with an interest in socioeconomic analyses, policy issues within the environment and natural resources sector, and the EU's common fisheries and agricultural policy. About the job You will participate in analysis work, compile data and results from previous research, and assist in writing reports and Policy Briefs aimed at decision-makers, government agencies, and an interested public. The work takes place within project groups, and you will be involved in the entire process from project planning to presentation of results in reports and seminars. Your background Qualification requirements: Master's degree in economics or equivalent You must have excellent skills, both verbal and written, in Swedish Good presentation skills Good collaboration skills combined with strong ability to work independently Desirable/Additional merits: Knowledge of the EU's common fisheries and agricultural policy Experience with quantitative analyses Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities About us The Analysis Group conducts qualified socioeconomic analyses within the food, agriculture, and fisheries sectors as well as rural development. The work is aimed at providing Parliament and Government with scientifically based material for strategic and long-term decisions. Primary recipients are the Department of Rural Development and Infrastructure, but also other departments, agencies, and organizations.
