Research and Education Manager for the R&D Unit | Tiohundra

About the Position As research and education manager, you play a key role in creating conditions for knowledge-based operations where research, education, and learning contribute to quality, innovation, and the best possible healthcare and social care for our residents. You lead and develop R&D operations, support researchers and clinicians, and ensure that research is converted into concrete benefits for patients, users, and staff. You develop our educational mandate and ensure good mentoring of our students. You also drive educational matters in close collaboration with managers, staff, educational actors, universities, colleges, and other external partners. You are part of the development department's management group and report to the company's development manager. As head of the R&D unit, you are responsible for operations, personnel, and budget. The role combines strategic leadership with operational ability to convert ideas, collaborations, and development initiatives into concrete benefits in the organization. Your responsibilities include, among other things: Manage staff, operational planning, budget, and follow-up as head of the R&D unit. Lead, develop, and coordinate R&D operations within the healthcare company Tiohundra AB. Manage the company's research administration, including distribution of ALF funds and research grants with associated financial reporting. Drive and coordinate matters that promote the research process and strengthen the connection between research and operational development. Chair the R&D committee. Mentor and support researchers and staff in research and education matters. Ensure that the company's educational mandate is fulfilled for all students in the healthcare company. Develop and quality assure student reception, mentoring, internship placements, and work-based learning. Manage and develop collaborations with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions, including the University of Gävle. Initiate, support, and follow up on research and education projects that contribute to quality, development, and learning. Contribute to strengthening Tiohundra's attractiveness as an educational organization, employer, and collaboration partner. About You For this position, you need: Relevant academic degree with a strong scientific foundation and several years of experience in research and education. A doctoral degree in a field relevant to the position. Documented management experience with responsibility for personnel, budget, and operational responsibility. Experience with research financing and administration. Experience with strategic development work within healthcare, social care, academia, or public operations. Experience mentoring and/or responsibility for mentor training. It is meritorious if you also have: Experience with change management, quality improvement, or project management. Experience collaborating with universities, colleges, or other educational actors. Good organizational and pedagogical abilities.
