Researcher in Joining/Welding

At Swerim, you'll work with a wide range of joining techniques and help develop a sustainable and competitive industry - together with experienced colleagues, industry partners, and academia. About the role We conduct applied research in close collaboration with Swedish industry, including infrastructure, materials technology, process, energy, and automotive industries. As a researcher you will: work on research and development projects that solve real industry problems progressively take on more responsibility - from project components to leading your own projects receive support and mentoring from senior researchers and specialists develop both technically and professionally in a safe and learning-oriented environment An important part of our operations is also training the welding engineers of the future, in collaboration with KTH and the Swedish Welding Commission. Here you'll have the opportunity to contribute your knowledge and learn about new areas along the way. Who are you? As a person, you are curious, engaged, and eager to learn. You enjoy collaboration, like taking responsibility, and enjoy sharing ideas and knowledge with others. We particularly welcome you if you have: Welding engineer competence, IWE and/or several years of experience in joining/welding Master's degree in Engineering or PhD in Materials Technology, Production Technology, or similar field Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English Meritorious (but not required): Pedagogical interest and/or experience with mentoring/teaching Previous project management experience Experience with applications for public funding What do we offer you?
