Investigations, analyses, and customer contact As an insurance investigator, you are a state employee tasked with conducting investigations to ensure that the right person receives the right benefit at the right time. When working with care allowances, you will be in contact with parents who have children with special care needs due to illness or disability. In your work with additional cost reimbursement, you will contact individuals who may need help with additional expenses for daily living due to disability. In your work, you make assessments through qualified investigations and analysis of documentation, primarily medical reports. You then present recommendations for decisions that are made by appointed decision-makers. Contact with individuals occurs via telephone and in writing. You gather information and collaborate with, among others, healthcare and municipal authorities. As an insurance investigator, you handle confidential information, which demands proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have strong security awareness. This is a job for someone who wants to take responsibility.
