Investigations, Analysis, and Teamwork As an insurance investigator, you handle applications for assistance compensation. In this role, you meet individuals who, due to illness or functional impairment, may need help meeting their basic needs. You conduct qualified investigations and analyses of documentation, primarily medical assessments, and determine whether the individual is entitled to compensation for personal assistance. You then present a proposal for a decision to be made by designated decision-makers. As an insurance investigator, you meet the person in personal meetings, typically by phone, Skype, and in writing, but also during home visits. You are responsible for contacts and collaboration with other actors, such as municipalities, personal representatives, and health care services. The work tasks are largely administrative, including ongoing documentation and calculations of the number of assistance hours. You are part of a team that plans and distributes work. You actively work to develop your knowledge and share your experiences. As a new employee, you receive comprehensive introductory training and support from a supervisor. As an insurance investigator, you handle confidential information, which places higher demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have a high security awareness.
