Warehouse Worker

The Service Office is the municipality's internal basic resource for technical and administrative service operations. The operations are conducted in business-like forms, and the Service Office has no budget allocation but functions as a service provider, where assignments are invoiced based on agreements and arrangements. Within our operations, there are approximately 450 employees who ensure that all employees in Borås City receive their salaries, that our sculptures stand securely throughout the city, that all residents have water and sewage, and that we maintain complete and clean roads, fences, lawns, and properties. You can read more about our department here: Service Office About the Operation In the Vehicle Fleet Workshop department, approximately 40 employees work. The operations are divided into areas including vehicle administration, warehouse, vehicle workshop, and mechanical workshop. We are now seeking a new team member for our warehouse. The Warehouse Unit handles inventory management, sales, and procurement of materials and supplies for operations such as water and sewage materials. Our rental division includes smaller construction machinery that we also service ourselves. Job Responsibilities We are looking for you to work as a warehouse worker with shared responsibility for the daily management of our rental equipment, including service, maintenance, and repairs. You will also be an important part of the daily warehouse operations with sales and rentals to our customers. The role includes work in various administrative systems, such as inventory management systems, and the preparation of purchase orders to our suppliers. Job duties also include receiving goods, loading and unloading, and handling transport operations. As part of the operation, the warehouse is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of our fuel station and washing facility. Experience with similar tasks or knowledge within building technology is therefore advantageous. We offer a varied workday that includes customer reception, technical work, maintenance, repairs, and administrative tasks. On-call duty may be part of the position. Qualifications We are looking for you who have secondary education in vehicle mechanics or equivalent professional experience in service and repair of vehicles, machinery, or other technical equipment. Experience from warehouse operations, equipment rental, machinery repair and maintenance, and property management or similar work within the last three years is highly advantageous. A forklift certification is advantageous. Good computer skills and a Class B driver's license are required. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. As a person, you are organized, responsible, and service-oriented. You enjoy meeting customers, have good communication skills, and work well with others. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. The position involves practical work and therefore requires good physical ability.
