Description:

2 position(s). We are now recruiting two new colleagues to the city's central HR function. We are looking for both an experienced negotiator with specialist expertise in labor law and you who want to develop towards a future specialist role. Together, you will contribute to developing Västerås city as an employer and provide qualified support in employer matters that benefit the entire organization. Your responsibilities Our mission is to provide the city's departments with qualified and consistent support in employer matters. This means you work both strategically and operationally to create legally sound and sustainable working methods. The role of negotiator is an independent specialist assignment where you, among other things, lead cooperation and dispute negotiations, are responsible for and develop the city's salary review process and wage formation, and provide qualified support and advice in close collaboration with HR in the city's departments. You interpret laws and collective agreements and translate them into practical working methods and guidance for operations. The assignment also includes planning and implementing training initiatives and contributing to the development of the city's labor law work. For you who are earlier in your career, the assignment is broader. You work together with experienced colleagues and gradually develop your expertise in labor law, negotiation, and wage formation. At the same time, you work with operational HR issues, including restructuring, flexible working arrangements, and other employer matters. As you develop, you gradually receive greater responsibility within the labor law field. Your qualifications We are looking for you who have an academic degree in HR, law degree or other education deemed equivalent. You also have experience working independently with labor law and contract matters at an overarching and central level. For the specialist role, you have also led cooperation and dispute negotiations and worked with salary reviews before. For the more junior role, you have a foundation in labor law and employer matters and want to develop towards a specialist role. We are looking for you who are curious, have a strong drive, and enjoy taking on new challenges. It is positive if you have experience working in a politically governed organization, driving change and development work, and if you have previously provided operational HR support. What we offer With us, you will work on matters that have significance for the entire organization and contribute to developing the city's working methods. You will become part of a competent specialist group with close collaboration and an open work environment where we are happy to share our knowledge. We offer a flexible work arrangement with great freedom within responsibility, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work remotely when work allows. As part of Västerås city, there are also good opportunities for skills development and potential development within both specialist and leadership roles. Here you become part of something bigger! With warmth and respect, we demonstrate competence in big things and small. We live our values in our interactions with each other and those we serve. Every day, year-round, we ensure that Västerås functions. Together with your approximately 11,500 colleagues around the city, you get Sweden's most important job.
