Preventive Social Worker for the Outreach Team

In the Outreach Team, you'll have the opportunity to build trusting relationships, create bridges between young people and important adults in their lives, and contribute to a long-term sustainable society. We're now recruiting three new colleagues for our team: one permanent position and two project positions for two years. About the role and your responsibilities As a social worker in the Outreach Team, you work close to young people's everyday lives and are present where young people are—in schools, at meeting places, and in other environments where relationships can be built. The assignment is about identifying needs early, building trust, and being a safe adult who can motivate, guide, and connect young people and their networks with the right support. You work both independently and together with colleagues, schools, culture and leisure activities, field teams, civil society, and other collaboration partners. The position also includes targeted social work at individual, group, and structural levels. You'll be an important part of a team where you can influence content, working methods, and collaboration forms together with your manager, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Working hours will be distributed mostly during daytime, but structured and planned work takes place regularly in the evenings and, according to agreed schedules, also on weekends during known youth events. We're looking for you who want to build trust and make a difference We're looking for someone with a degree in social work or another degree combined with work experience that the employer considers equivalent. We also want you to have work experience in preventive work with young people and their networks. Experience with authority work or from social work in schools is a merit. Further education in MI, KSL (Criminality as a Lifestyle), SSPF (School, Social Services, Police, and Leisure Collaboration), FFT (Functional Family Therapy), ABC Teens, or other evidence-based methods relevant to the position is also a merit. You find it easy to build relationships, create collaboration, and meet young people with respect, patience, and clarity. It's important that you have personal maturity, are proactive, and can make decisions based on arising situations. You should have a strong ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing. Language skills in languages other than Swedish are a merit. A B-category driving license is a requirement. About the workplace The Outreach Team has been operational since August 2024 and is an established presence in schools, meeting places, and with other stakeholders in the area. From September 1st, the team will also be strengthened with an SSPF coordinator, which provides additional opportunities for coordination and preventive and safety-focused work with young people. As a social worker in the Outreach Team, you get a varied workday together with engaged colleagues. You meet young people in multiple arenas, develop working methods based on the unit's different focus areas, and build further on collaboration both within and outside the administration. We are part of the Labor Market and Social Services Administration where approximately 600 employees provide support to Lund residents who need social services. Together, we ensure that children and young people have as good a childhood as possible. We take into account the situation of the entire family and that no one should suffer harm. This involves providing support to adults with harmful use and addiction or mental disabilities, those who need financial assistance, guardians, administrators, or support to study or work, as well as refugees.
