As a teacher of academic Swedish, you will be an important part of our programs where adult learners are equipped for further studies, working life, and a richer life through knowledge. You will teach primarily academic language use, academic writing, and study techniques, helping participants find their flow from memos to essays. What You Will Do In this role, you work closely with our course participants and colleagues, and you have the space to influence both content and working methods. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction in academic Swedish with a focus on helping participants feel confident in their language use. Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction in academic Swedish for adult learners Support participants in academic writing, reference management, and language structure Adapt instruction to participants' level, needs, and study goals Work primarily in classroom instruction but also distance instruction for participants in other locations Collaborate with colleagues on course design, pedagogical development, and joint projects Participate in ongoing follow-up, documentation, and quality work within the program Qualifications We believe you enjoy teaching adults, are confident in the Swedish language, and have experience with academic writing. You don't need to be perfect, but you need to be curious, unpretentious, and ready to develop with us and our participants. A university degree with a focus on pedagogy (minimum 60 credits old system or 90 credits current system) or a focus on Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language (minimum 60 credits or 90 credits current system) and at least one (1) year of documented professional experience corresponding to at least 50% of a full-time position teaching Swedish at a level equivalent to Swedish 2 or Swedish as a Second Language 2 or teaching Swedish at level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale, and the experience must not be older than five years. Experience with labor market assignments will be viewed as a merit in the selection process.
