Åsele municipality is seeking a Public Health Coordinator Description Åsele has good conditions for good public health and functioning welfare. To reduce health disparities, clear shared responsibility between public, private, and nonprofit sectors is needed. Åsele municipality wants to work toward good and equitable health and coordination of public health efforts. Based on this, we are seeking a new public health coordinator. Duties Your assignment includes coordinating and developing public health and social sustainability work at a strategic level. In your role as public health coordinator, you are expected to implement the long-term strategy for this work, using the current situation in Åsele as a starting point. The work is based on national public health policy goals and largely involves gathering and disseminating knowledge about public health, collaborating by, for example, initiating, leading, or participating in relevant networks, and initiating or supporting measures and projects that contribute to equitable health in Åsele. The public health coordinator serves as a support resource for the administration's work on social sustainability, provides advice and support, and participates in developing strategies and plans. The work suits you if you can work in close collaboration with others and independently. You understand the importance of working in a mobilized and co-creative manner based on the target group's needs, engagement, and interests, and you have an inclusive and attentive approach. Qualifications You should have appropriate higher education with a focus on public health science. Previous experience working in the public sector, project management, and strategic work is meritorious. We seek a self-driven person who enjoys taking initiative and achieving results. As a coordinator, you understand the long-term importance and broader consequences of public health work and adapt your efforts accordingly. You have a willingness to collaborate and the ability to relate to other people in a responsive manner. Since the work is largely independent, you must be organized with the ability to effectively organize and prioritize your tasks. Excellent knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is necessary. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Conditions The position is a part-time project employment from 2026-2027 with good opportunities for extension. The position could possibly be arranged as a combined position with another activity if there is interest in full-time work. We offer flexible working hours. The position begins by agreement.
