Job Description
As a public health scientist, you will be involved in strategic public health work. You translate knowledge into action and contribute to a health-promoting and preventive perspective becoming a natural part of the region's work and regional development. The role includes analyzing and describing the health status of the population based on statistics, research and environmental monitoring, coordinating and following up on the region's strategic public health work, initiating, leading and supporting development initiatives together with internal and external collaboration partners, and contributing to knowledge development for public health work in Östergötland County. It's varied work with great opportunities to influence your workday. The work takes place in close collaboration with many different actors and involves some travel, primarily within the county. Here you'll have the opportunity to work closely with management and operations in an environment where development, collaboration and future care are in focus.
Work Team
The Health and Healthcare Strategy Unit's mission is, at a strategic level, to ensure that the goals decided politically, nationally and/or by regional leadership/regional healthcare leadership are achieved. The unit is part of the Health and Healthcare operation area and is located in the regional office in Linköping. With us, you become part of an engaged interdisciplinary team where collaboration, analysis and development are at the center.
About You
You have experience with strategic planning and development work in public health, social sustainability or similar areas.
You have knowledge of how societal factors affect people's health and living conditions. You have a strong interest in the field of public health and social sustainability. As a person, you want to be involved in driving strategic-level work to promote good health development in the population. You are flexible, responsive and have good collaboration skills. You take your own initiative and have the ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize your work in an efficient manner.
You are communicatively confident in writing, presentations and dialogue and your digital skills are good. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability and previous experience. You have good knowledge of Swedish, at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale, and good communicative ability.
