Do you want to lead a mission-critical operation where safety, structure, and development are at the center?
Now you have the chance – a unique opportunity to make it happen.
Dala Airport is now seeking an Airport Manager/Operations Manager – a key person with ultimate responsibility for operating our airport safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
About the Role
As Airport Manager/Operations Manager, you hold overall responsibility for the airport's operations, resources, and management systems. The role carries ultimate responsibility for ensuring that operations comply with EASA regulations and requirements for safety, quality, and aviation security. You have a central position in the organization where you ensure that operations are conducted with the right structure, competence, and conditions – both in daily operations and during extraordinary events.
Your assignment includes, among other things:
Ensuring that the airport has sufficient resources to conduct operations in accordance with requirements and governing documents
Developing and managing an effective management system that encompasses safety, quality, and aviation security – and ensuring that it is used in practice
Ensuring the right organizational structure, staffing, and clear delegations in operations
Responsible for maintaining operations even in the absence of key personnel
Driving and developing aviation safety work and fostering a strong safety culture
Ensuring that operations are conducted within given parameters – and, if necessary, adapting the scope to always prioritize safety
Responsible for ensuring that agreements with suppliers and partners are correctly structured and meet operational and regulatory requirements
Collaborating with authorities, airlines, and other actors in the aviation industry
Your Profile – Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for you – a confident and clear leader with the ability to take overall responsibility in an operation with high demands for safety, structure, and regulatory compliance. You have a good understanding of what the role of operations manager means in an EASA-regulated environment and thrive in a context where safety, quality, and compliance are central. You have knowledge of aviation safety work, risk management, and regulatory requirements, as well as experience with – or good understanding of – how management systems function and are used in practice. You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and have a good business sense as well as experience collaborating with external stakeholders such as authorities, suppliers, and partners.
It is advantageous if you have experience from a leading role in airport operations, other safety-critical operations, or operations with clear regulatory requirements. Experience with authority contacts, audits, regulatory compliance, and work with governance, monitoring, and objectives within a management system is also an advantage. As a person, you are structured, action-oriented, and inspire confidence in your leadership role. You have good decision-making ability – even in complex situations – and combine a strong safety focus with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach. You also have good collaboration skills and thrive in a role with many contact points, both internally and externally.
What We Offer
A strategic key role with great mandate and responsibility, where you get the opportunity to influence and develop the airport's future working methods and safety culture. You get a central position in a mission-critical operation with strong regional significance, in an engaged context where collaboration, professionalism, and shared responsibility are in focus.
