The Department of Flight and Aeronautical Sciences seeks an administrative manager. The department, located at Campus Ljungbyhed, conducts education and research in flight and aeronautical sciences; for example, training of civil and military pilots, civil and military drone pilots, research in sustainable aviation, unmanned aircraft and aviation safety.
The department's technical and administrative support consists of an aircraft technical workshop with three employed aircraft technicians, planning and scheduling, HR, education administration and facilities management. The technical and administrative staff currently consists of eight people. In total, approximately 35 people work in the operation, most of whom are teachers in the flight school activities.
We are seeking an administrative manager who can complement the management team, be responsible for our administrative functions and lead and develop the administrative work at the department.

Duties and areas of responsibility
As administrative manager at the department, you are responsible manager for the department's administrative functions in education administration, communication, service and HR with a total of five employees. You have overall responsibility for coordinating the administrative team and leading and developing the administrative work.
As administrative manager at the department, you are the prefect's support in leading and developing the department. You will work closely with the department's management to ensure that our administrative and business support processes are efficient and fit for purpose and meet the requirements placed on the department.
You are part of the department's management team and participate in the department board meetings and you have the task of representing the department in relevant meetings and networks.
The administrative manager reports to the prefect.
Qualifications
For this position, we are looking for a leader with broad experience in administration or other business support functions. You are communicative and attentive and understand the importance of having close dialogue with both the business and staff. You have the ability to see the bigger picture, create common goals and drive and develop a support function in an academic organization. Properties we consider important in this role are persistence, flexibility and high integrity.
We are looking for you who have a university or college degree in a relevant subject or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. We would like to see that you have an interest and knowledge of leadership where you have taken leadership training/courses. Other requirements are:
