Fjordtank Rederi is now seeking a dedicated and responsible Chief Engineer/Chief Mechanic for M/T Sagafjord, a 4,500 DWT/2,720 kW oil and chemical tanker.
About the Position
As Chief Engineer, you will have overall responsibility for the vessel's engine room and technical operations. You are responsible for ensuring that machinery and technical systems are operated, maintained, and developed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
M/T Sagafjord operates primarily in the Nordic region and Northern Europe, with Gothenburg and Skagen as its home ports.
We are looking for someone who is organized, solution-oriented, and thrives with significant personal responsibility. You appreciate working in a small team where collaboration, safety, and quality are in focus.
We are looking for someone who has
. Chief Engineer Class III certification or higher.
. Valid certificates for the position, including special endorsement for oil and chemical cargo.
. Experience working aboard oil or chemical tankers.
. Strong technical competence and a high safety mindset.
. Ability to work independently while being a team player.
