Chief Financial Officer

State Labour Inspectorate announces a competition for a vacant Chief Financial Officer position in the Finance and Administration Division (one full-time position for an indefinite period; work location – Kr. Valdemāra iela 38 k-1, Rīga, LV-1010) Main duties of the position: plan and analyze financial resources necessary for the institution's functions, provide suggestions and forecasts on their allocation and use; prepare the institution's annual budget request, financing plan, and draft estimates for the current year; prepare budget execution and other reports and clarifications; monitor the use of financial resources, prepare and provide operational information on financial resource utilization; conduct verification and reconciliation of financial supporting documents. Requirements for candidates: academic or second-level professional higher education in finance or economics; at least two years of work experience in financial planning and supervision; knowledge of the basic principles of state budget formation, the regulatory acts governing them, and institutional financial management; ability to analyze financial indicators and make forecasts; ability to apply financial analysis methods; understanding of public administration operations and the regulatory acts governing this field; at least two years of work experience in public administration; state language education or language proficiency equivalent to C level 1st degree. We offer: monthly salary from EUR 1550 to EUR 1680 (before tax deduction). The monthly salary is determined according to the evaluation of individual monthly salary setting criteria, assessing the candidate's professional qualifications and competencies during the probation period, and additionally evaluating work performance and regular work volume after the probation period; allowances and social guarantees as established in public administration; health insurance (after 3 months); professional training and work support; interesting and professionally challenging work; the opportunity to work in a friendly and professional team; the opportunity to agree on flexible working hours. Documents to submit: motivated cover letter in which we ask you to describe your compliance with the stated requirements; CV; copies of documents confirming education; copy of a document confirming state language proficiency (for candidates who did not receive education in the state language). For candidates who received education abroad, a document on the academic recognition of education in Latvia must be attached. We inform you that to start work at the State Labour Inspectorate and formalize employment relations, you will need an electronic signature.
