We are looking for a qualified financial controller for the agency's business area of financial and operational management. We design, implement and establish standards for financial and operational management so that the agency's managers can lead and manage the agency. We develop overarching processes for planning and follow-up with the ambition to become more data-driven.
Financial and Operational Management
In your role as a financial controller at the agency-wide level, you will work to provide the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's management with the support needed to lead, manage and monitor the agency's operations and finances.
You will work with agency-wide planning and follow-up of the agency's operations and finances. You are expected to prepare analyses and decision-making documents for agency management and support different parts of the organization on various matters. As a financial controller, you work closely with the agency's managers and often collaborate with agency leadership, the board and the Government Offices.
As an employee of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you have a high level of security awareness since the agency handles classified information.

has a university degree or experience and qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent
has several years of experience as a financial controller
has experience working with analysis and reporting tools
acts on your own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
works to achieve results of high quality
can understand and analyze complex issues
has good communication skills, both verbal and written
collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
has a systematic and thorough work approach.
It is meritorious if you
have experience working as a financial controller in a larger organization, preferably in a larger agency
have knowledge of issues such as delegations and good understanding of the financial terms in an appropriation letter
have experience managing budgets and forecasts
have experience setting requirements for financial systems and/or reporting tools
have experience collaborating at the highest management level
are proactive and experienced in change management in large organizations.

Other Information
One position, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. Trial employment may be applicable. Certain positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive activities. To be employed in such a position, you must pass a security vetting in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. The opportunity for remote work exists if the work allows.
