Real Estate Strategist

You work strategically to develop, analyze, and optimize the municipality's property portfolio to ensure that operational needs are met in a sustainable and cost-effective manner. About the Position In the role of Real Estate Strategist, you are responsible for developing and optimizing the municipality's property portfolio based on operational needs and the municipality's goals for sound financial management. You work with matters concerning acquisition, disposal, and leasing of properties and facilities, as well as handling property-related and legal issues. An important part of the assignment is to analyze and prepare strategic materials for decisions regarding the municipality's future property holdings. You contribute with information and recommendations on matters such as: Which properties should be retained and developed Which properties should be disposed of How the property portfolio can be optimized to meet future needs How local and property resources can be used more efficiently Work Tasks As a Real Estate Strategist, you will, among other things: Conduct investigations, analyses, and impact assessments Prepare decision materials for political leadership, municipal management, and administrative leadership Develop and anchor property strategies and optimization proposals Participate in and contribute to steering groups and development projects Assist in preliminary studies for new construction, renovations, and extensions Collaborate with internal operations, customers, and external parties Provide support in negotiations with external property owners Support work with internal lease matters and rental billing Ensure that work is conducted in line with the municipality's strategies, guidelines, and goals Qualifications We're looking for someone with university education in areas such as real estate, urban development, engineering, or another education that the employer considers equivalent. You may also have acquired equivalent competence through relevant work experience. We would prefer that you have: Experience with strategic work in property or facility matters Project management or project experience Knowledge of real estate law, contract law, and lease matters Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to property management and development Knowledge of workplace legislation Experience from public sector operations or politically governed organizations is a merit Good skills in Microsoft 365 Ability to present and communicate with both small and large groups Personal Qualities To succeed in the role, you are a structured and analytical person who enjoys driving matters forward. You work independently while having a natural ability to build good relationships and collaborations. We believe you are communicative and express yourself well in speech and writing. You have the ability to build trust and engagement, are resourceful, self-driven, and results-oriented. Furthermore, you have a service-oriented and solution-focused approach to work, are economically and commercially aware, and enjoy dialogue with both operations, management, and political representatives. A Class B driver's license is a requirement for the position. More About the Position This is a permanent position with a start date to be agreed upon.
