Facilities Technician at Kockum Fritid

As a facilities technician, you will be an important part of our operations and contribute to ensuring that the entire facility is safe, functional, clean, and welcoming for our visitors and guests. Kockum Fritid is a sports and leisure center featuring an ice rink, sports halls, gym, badminton, squash, and conference facilities. You will meet visitors, associations, schools, companies, and conference guests daily. As a facilities technician, you will work with the daily supervision and maintenance of the entire facility. Your tasks vary and include everything from rounds, minor repairs, and practical maintenance to furniture arrangement and preparations for matches, activities, events, and conferences. You work both independently and with colleagues from other departments. This role is perfect for you if you are practically minded, service-oriented, and ready to help where the operation needs you. Your main responsibilities - Daily rounds and supervision of the facility - Handling fault reports - Minor repairs and practical maintenance - Supervision of premises, equipment, locks, doors, and gates - Assembly, disassembly, and moving of equipment - Setup changes before matches, activities, and events - Ice machine operation and practical work in the ice rink - Contact and cooperation with external contractors - Safety rounds and reporting of risks and deviations - Roaming cleaning and emptying of trash bins - Litter collection and maintenance of the facility's outdoor environment - Snow removal and anti-icing measures as needed - Service to visitors, associations, schools, and colleagues Work in the conference facility An important part of the position is providing practical service to Kockum Fritid's conference operations. We place great emphasis on ensuring that conference facilities are always clean, neat, and welcoming for our guests. The tasks include, among other things: - Furnishing and arranging conference rooms according to customer wishes - Carrying out setup changes between conferences and events - Performing light cleaning and continuously ensuring that the facilities maintain a high standard - Checking that conference rooms and common areas are clean, functional, and representative - Preparing and checking projectors, screens, sound, and other conference technology - Assisting conference guests and colleagues with practical and technical questions - Clearing, restoring, and preparing rooms for the next guest We are looking for you who - Are practically minded and enjoy solving problems - Take responsibility and see what needs to be done - Are service-oriented and have a professional demeanor - Are thorough and have an eye for order, cleanliness, and overall impression - Thrive with varied tasks and sometimes a high pace - Can work both independently and with others - Understand safety and follow established routines - Have experience in janitorial work, facility management, service, or similar work Experience with ice rink operations, conference operations, conference technology, or work in a sports and leisure facility is a merit.
