Property Caretaker
Malå Municipality is seeking a practical and service-oriented property caretaker who wants to help create well-maintained and functional facilities for our operations.
As a property caretaker, you will be responsible for the daily supervision and maintenance of the municipality's facilities. The work is varied and offers significant freedom and responsibility, where you independently plan and carry out many of your tasks.
Responsibilities
The role includes, among other things:
Perform ongoing inspections and rounds of the municipality's facilities
Carry out minor repairs and maintenance work
Handle fault reports and remedy issues within your own competence
Perform simple carpentry, painting, and assembly work
Control and maintain technical installations in the facilities
Replace items such as light bulbs, fittings, locks, and other equipment
Maintain contact with operations and contractors in daily work
Identify maintenance needs and report major faults and deficiencies
When needed, assist with outdoor maintenance and other practical tasks within facility operations
The work involves significant contact with the operations that use our facilities, making service, conduct, and collaboration important parts of the position.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who is practical, solution-oriented, and self-directed. You enjoy solving problems and thrive in work where no two days are the same.
We would like you to have:
Experience in property maintenance, construction, installation, skilled trades, or other relevant practical work
Good technical understanding
The ability to work independently and plan your work
Basic computer skills
B-class driver's license
Education or prior experience in property maintenance, HVAC, electrical work, construction, or other technical fields is a plus.
