The Catholic Diocese of Stockholm encompasses all of Sweden with 44 parishes throughout the country. The Diocese, led by Cardinal Anders Arborelius, has approximately 132,000 registered members and is growing steadily. The Diocese's central organization in Stockholm includes a number of administrative units, and we now need to strengthen our team with a Property Manager who will work both operatively and strategically with the Diocese's property portfolio. The Catholic Diocese of Stockholm is seeking an experienced property manager Now you have the opportunity to take comprehensive responsibility for a unique property portfolio and contribute to long-term sustainable management of the Catholic Diocese of Stockholm's properties. Here you will work in a values-driven organization where properties play an important role for people, operations, and communities throughout Sweden. About the Role As a property manager, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing the Diocese's property portfolio, which currently comprises approximately 17 properties throughout Sweden. The portfolio is evolving, which makes the role both varied and future-oriented. You will work from the Diocese's centrally located office on Södermalm in Stockholm and report to the head of the finance department. You will represent the Diocese as a client in relation to consultants, contractors, and suppliers, and you will play a central role in ensuring that properties are managed in a sustainable, fit-for-purpose, and cost-effective manner. The role involves many contact points, and you will work closely with the Diocese's leadership, council, and committees on matters relating to property development and long-term management. Your Main Areas of Responsibility Take overall responsibility for the management of the Diocese's property portfolio. Represent the Diocese as a client for consultant, contracting, and supplier services. Prepare, monitor, and develop budgets, maintenance plans, and investment proposals. Ensure that properties comply with applicable regulatory requirements. Initiate, lead, and monitor maintenance and development projects. Participate in strategic matters concerning the long-term development of the properties. Prepare and lead the Diocese's building council. Coordinate needs and priorities between operations and external suppliers. Provide support to parishes and operations on property-related matters. Who Are You? We are seeking someone with several years of experience in qualified property management and who is accustomed to taking overall responsibility for finance, technical matters, and external supplier relationships. You likely have a university or higher education degree in property management, real estate economics, building technology, civil engineering, or equivalent. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent competence through relevant work experience. To succeed in this role, we see that you have: Experience from property ownership or qualified property management. Experience working as a client in relation to consultants and contractors. Good understanding of real estate economics, budgeting, and follow-up. Knowledge of building technology, maintenance planning, and regulatory requirements. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. It is a merit if you have experience with public sector properties, historically significant buildings, or operations with many stakeholders.
