Operational Facilities and Maintenance Technician Scandic Värnamo 50% (Project employment 8 months) Do you want to help elevate the hotel experience for our guests? We are now looking for a practical and solution-oriented team member for a 50% project position for an initial period of 8 months. The assignment is to work together with the hotel's management and other departments to carry out a structured renovation of our hotel rooms and common areas. This is a role for you who enjoys varied work tasks, has an eye for detail, and wants to see clear results from your work. About the role; As an Operational Facilities and Maintenance Technician, you work on ongoing improvement and maintenance activities in our hotel rooms and shared spaces. The work includes, among other things: Painting work and surface finish improvements Repair and replacement of trim, hardware, and basic carpentry work Installation and setup of furnishings and equipment Minor maintenance work on facilities and rooms Troubleshooting and remediation of minor technical issues Documentation of completed work Work according to established maintenance and activity plans Collaboration with Housekeeping, Reception, and other departments The goal is to gradually improve the condition of the rooms and contribute to a better experience for both guests and employees. Who are you? We believe you have experience from one or more of the following areas: Painting Carpentry Facilities management Operations and maintenance Hotel or service operations You are used to working independently but also have an easy time collaborating with others. To succeed in the role, you need to be: Organized and thorough Responsible Solution-oriented Flexible and adaptable Service-minded Practical with a high quality standard You need to be able to receive instructions, work according to planned activities, and follow up to ensure work is completed as agreed.
