As Fresh Produce Manager, working alongside the skilled team in the store, you will play an important role in the continued development. The position is full-time until further notice and begins with a trial employment period. Scheduled working hours include days, evenings, and weekends.
What You'll Do
In your role as Fresh Produce Manager, you are responsible for your departments and your staff. You help ensure that the store operates smoothly seven days a week. You share responsibility for purchasing, sales, and profitability, and ensure that your departments achieve the store's jointly set goals. The customer is the heart of the business, so daily customer contact is important to create a positive store experience and, of course, to ensure that your departments offer a modern and inviting assortment. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that the store maintains the highest quality and that routines are followed. As Fresh Produce Manager, you have personnel responsibility for your team of skilled employees. This includes ensuring that staff receive the right information, develop professionally, feel valued, and that work in the store runs smoothly. You will also be part of the store's management group.
What We Expect
Being interested in food, skilled at driving sales, and enjoying working with people are prerequisites for this role. Equally important is having your own drive to work in an entrepreneurial environment with a high pace. Additionally, you need to be comfortable working with financial key figures and have experience working in retail. We believe that key qualities for success as a Fresh Produce Manager are being food-focused, organized, analytical, engaged, and passionate about developing yourself and your employees. Since you will lead and develop your employees, you need to be good at explaining routines, describing the goals the store should reach, and identifying challenges. Equally important is your ability to delegate work, give and receive feedback, and be comfortable driving through changes. You should have previous experience with sales and service, and ideally strong computer skills.
