We are looking for a committed pharmacist with compounding competence (pharmacy technician or pharmacist) who wants to become part of the Radiopharmacy Operations. About the position We have extensive production and preparation of radioactively labeled sterile pharmaceuticals for use in clinical patient diagnostics (PET and SPECT) and several research areas. The Radiopharmacy Operations has also been tasked with meeting the hospital's need for gene therapy pharmaceuticals, where preparation of these pharmaceuticals is required. We consist of a mix of competencies such as pharmacists, chemists, and engineers who together work with manufacturing, preparation, quality control, quality assurance (QA), and equipment service. In total, we are approximately 30 employees. You will be part of the Production Section, which is responsible for daily deliveries of radiopharmaceuticals to our customers in the Stockholm Region. Your work tasks will include preparation of short-lived radiopharmaceuticals, preparation of gene therapy pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing of cyclotron-based radiopharmaceuticals. All work steps take place in a GMP environment and cleanroom. Manufacturing and preparation aim to meet the clinical needs of Karolinska University Hospital and several other healthcare providers. In the position, you will also work with developing procedures and be involved in deviation investigations, improvement and change requests. You will also be involved in materials handling, method development, and in the operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Since demand for our radiopharmaceuticals is high in the morning, the workday starts early at 06:00-14:30.
