Essensa Family Homes is seeking a Family Home Consultant who must have supervisor training focused on family homes.
About Us
Essensa Family Homes is a specialist operation that provides consultant-supported family home care with a focus on children and young people with complex issues, often combined with trauma, mental health problems, and neuropsychiatric difficulties.
We work as a team and in the child's home environment/family home environment, with clear structure, continuous follow-up, and high professionalism.
About the Role
As a Family Home Consultant with us, you have a central role in the work surrounding the child and the family home. You are responsible for supervision, training, recruitment, and follow-up of the family homes in their assignments and work closely with social services and our internal team.
The work is independent but never isolated; you are part of an interdisciplinary team that includes a manager, specialist social worker, placement advisor, family therapist, DBT therapist, special educator, and skills trainer.
Work Responsibilities
Supervision of family homes
Regular contact and collaboration with social services
Follow-up on care and implementation plans
Documentation and reporting
Participation in matching, follow-up meetings, and treatment conferences
Recruitment and assessment of family homes
Contribute to the development of the operation's quality and working methods
We Are Looking for Someone Who
Is a social worker
Has supervisor training focused on family homes
Has experience from family home care
Is courageous, has self-leadership, and is relationship-building
Works independently, goal-oriented, and solution-focused
Has good verbal and written communication skills
Has a B-class driver's license and access to a car
Meritorious
Level 1 training in CBT, PDT, or family therapy
DBT training

Essensa Family Homes conducts consultant-supported family home care with a treatment focus. The operation is part of Essensa Treatment and works on behalf of social services with children and young people who need structured, safe, and individually adapted interventions. Interventions are coordinated based on the child's needs and may include special education support, treatment, skills training, as well as support and supervision for family homes. Through close collaboration between different professionals, we create cohesive and sustainable placements.
Essensa Family Homes works systematically with quality assurance and follow-up. The operation is characterized by clear structures, accountability, and regular self-inspection to ensure that interventions maintain high quality and are implemented in accordance with applicable legislation and mandate.

Work Location: Hybrid (from home and visiting family homes)
Requirements:
You will mainly work from home and plan your work independently.
You must be able to conduct home visits to your family homes at least three of five working days per week.
Travel is included in the position, and you must be able to make work-related trips of up to approximately two hours' travel time one way.
B-class driver's license and access to your own car is a requirement.
