Trygga Familjehem in Sweden AB is now recruiting families/individuals who want to help children & young adults aged 0-20 years. We are looking for both long-term foster families and emergency foster care providers. Being an emergency foster care provider or family foster care provider. Being a foster family is interesting, challenging and above all rewarding! It involves opening the doors to your home, your family, your daily life and offering security, guidelines, rules and most importantly a lot of joy and heart, as well as a desire to share your life. This is of course a major challenge and requires a clear ambition to succeed. This ambition must be shared by all family members and alignment on what the assignment entails is very important. Of course, everyone is affected when a new person moves in and becomes part of the family. NOTE: A single person can also be an emergency or family foster care provider. Most importantly, you must have a genuine interest in helping a child/young adult achieve a better life. You must also be able to collaborate with all parties around the placed child/young adult such as school, social workers, family placement consultants, etc. To manage a placement, you need to have a little extra of everything; space, time and capability! Our requirements for you to begin a foster family assessment include: That you do not appear in the police crime and suspicion register, the social security office register regarding longer illness periods, the enforcement office register and the social register for the past five years That there is an available bedroom that can be offered to the placed child, without anyone in the family giving up their own bedroom. Note that common areas do not count as bedrooms. That your residence is permanent, meaning you do not rent a sublet, are a lodger or similar. The residence is fully furnished and renovated. That you are fully healthy and able to work That you have stable income and support That at least one of you has time for meetings with social services and our family placement consultants That you do not have any major upcoming life changes, such as moving, extended travel, new studies, pregnancy or similar That you speak Swedish Trygga Familjehem supports, guides and educates As a foster family, you will receive Trygga Familjehem's basic training for foster families. The purpose is to make the placement as good as possible for the placed individual and for the foster family. Our consultants are always close at hand for ongoing guidance and training to the family during the placement. Your family placement consultant will visit you regularly; you have close collaboration in everything concerning the placed person, such as implementation plans and authority contacts. To assist you, you have 24-hour phone support for any questions. Trygga Familjehem's approach and way of working is to be available, provide support, help, ideas and motivation! Good financial compensation Opening your home to a child, young adult or young person is not about money, but about helping someone who needs a safe and stable life. However, you should still receive fair compensation for the work you do. Compensation is paid in two parts: a cost reimbursement of approximately 6,500 kr/month to cover food, clothes, travel etc., and a fee for the work you perform. The fee ranges from 26,000 kr/month and upward depending on the complexity of the placement.
