Family Home Caregiver

About the Job Do you want to make a real difference for children and young people? We are looking for individuals who want to become family home caregivers and experienced family home caregivers who can offer a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment for children and young people who, for various reasons, cannot stay with their guardians. As a family home caregiver, you become an important part of a child's daily life and development. The role involves providing care, safety, structure, and support while collaborating closely with social services, schools, healthcare, and our family home consultants. Responsibilities As a family home caregiver, you are responsible for: Providing the child with a safe and stable home environment. Establishing clear routines and predictability in daily life. Supporting the child in school, leisure activities, and social development. Participating in meetings with social services, schools, and other partners. Documenting important events and contributing to the child's implementation plan. Working based on the child's individual needs and development. Collaborating with the child's biological network when included in the assignment. We are Looking for You If You Have experience as a family home caregiver, emergency caregiver, or other documented experience working with children and young people. Have a stable and secure home with space for a placed child. Have good collaboration skills and can work with various authorities and professionals. Are calm, confident, and have the ability to set clear boundaries with warmth and respect. Can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Have orderly finances and a stable life situation. Are flexible and can adapt to the child's needs. It is an advantage if an adult in the family has education or professional experience in, for example, social work, healthcare, treatment, education, or other work with children and young people. Qualifications To become a family home caregiver, you need to: Be at least 28 years old. Have a valid B driving license and access to a car. Have a separate room for the placed child. Be approved in the family home assessment. Be able to provide excerpts from the Police's suspicion and criminal record register as well as registers from the Enforcement Authority, the Social Insurance Agency, the Transport Agency, the Central Crime Registry, and Social Services in accordance with applicable regulations.
