About the Position
As a family therapist at the Social Services Department's Counseling and Support unit, you will work with children, young people, families, and adults facing difficulties and challenges in their lives.
Counseling and Support consists of a total of ten employees, including seven family therapists, two social pedagogues at the family center, and one coordinator for early intervention.
In connection with the new Social Services Act coming into force, the Social Services Department has gradually shifted from work previously based primarily on assistance decisions to more interventions without assistance decisions, using a promoting and preventive approach. The coordinator for early intervention is a hub in the department-wide work of initiating promoting, preventive, and early interventions, and the operations now need to be expanded to meet the needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent.
It is meritorious if you have experience in psychosocial change work within municipal social services, group activities using methods such as Relapse Prevention, CRAFT, ACT, ABC, ABC-teen, and other evidence-based methods such as FFT.
The work requires that you are confident in yourself, take your own initiative, find solutions, and have the ability to work independently. At the same time, you must have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner. As a person, you are empathetic and can quickly put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation. You need to be able to adapt methods and approaches based on the individual you meet.
Since a large part of your tasks involves communication and documentation, strong knowledge of Swedish language in both spoken and written form is required. Knowledge of other languages is meritorious.
A driver's license (category B) is required.
