Ref: 20261737 Job Responsibilities We are expanding our services and are now seeking a family therapist for our home-based family treatment team. We work with families with children ages 0-12 years who have complex psychosocial challenges affecting interaction and attachment between children and parents. The work takes place primarily in the home or in the child's immediate environment and in collaboration with other important actors for the family. The goal is to establish a safe and positive relationship between parents and children. Treatment interventions can vary in intensity, and therapists are flexible regarding where and when they meet with families. Family treatment may include one or more of the following: Parent/family sessions Practical support Interaction-based treatment (e.g., Marte Meo) Trauma treatment (CPP and TF-CBT) Parent education (e.g., COS) Network support work We maintain close contact with a few families at a time, often over extended periods. We work systemically and with trauma awareness, focusing on secure attachment and the family's and network's resources. Because the work takes place in the home, children are seen and more involved. The role requires great flexibility in meeting family needs, including regarding scheduling and availability. This sometimes means working outside regular office hours. Family treatment can be conducted independently or in pairs, always in close collaboration with colleagues, coordinators, and management, with considerable freedom to direct your assignments. Qualifications We are seeking someone with a degree in social work or another university degree that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience in family treatment, preferably working with children ages 0-12 years. You have experience working with families facing severe psychosocial challenges and are accustomed to collaborating closely with other stakeholders. If you have specialized training in relevant methods (such as Marte Meo, COS, PYC, CPP, TF-CBT) in child and family work, this is advantageous. To thrive in the family therapist role with us, you must be flexible regarding both work content and working hours. The position requires that you be responsive to the needs and wishes of the families you work with, and that you can quickly adapt to changing circumstances and situations. We also see that you are someone who takes initiative, is persistent, and is experienced in planning, prioritizing, and driving your work independently and collaboratively with colleagues. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to maintain focus and act effectively even in difficult situations. You have strong Swedish language skills in both speaking and writing, and knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
