We have a systemic approach and a strong focus on children, young people, and users. The Attendance Team—School Social Collaboration is Mölndal's school social team. The Attendance Team has shared leadership consisting of a unit manager for open care at the Social and Labor Market Administration and a unit manager from the School Administration. The Attendance Team consists of three family therapists, one social pedagogue, 1.5 special educators, and a teacher with a service dog who works on an hourly basis. The Attendance Team works with home and school in parallel, always with the goal of bringing students with high school absenteeism back to school. The team works intensively with children and young people and their families, and the work involves extensive collaboration with external actors. The family therapists in the Attendance Team are part of the "Open Care Unit," which consists of 45 employees, three method supervisors, and three managers. The unit also includes four family therapist teams with different specializations, a family safety team, a field team, a visitation program, the Network Team, social workers at the police department, two family centers, and Mini-Maria. 1 position(s). WORK RESPONSIBILITIES You and the team work to break long-term school absenteeism by working closely with the family, their network, the social worker who approved the intervention, and school staff. As a family therapist in Mölndal's Attendance Team, you are an important link between parents and the school, and together with the social pedagogue and special educators, you work to create conditions for the child/young person to feel good and have the prerequisites to resume schooling. Your tasks are varied, and you will be involved in developing collaboration and your role. You will, among other things: • Work with the child/young person and their family at home and in activity facilities to build strong relationships and collaboration. • Serve as a bridge to the family and to the school and enable a gradual return to school. • Work closely with schools to help ensure a smooth return to school for the student. • Listen in and create good conditions for collaboration. • Plan and conduct family meetings, collaboration meetings, and network meetings. • Evaluate progress and report results to a steering group and the respective board. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree such as social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education deemed equivalent. Experience in family therapy is a requirement. Experience working in public administration with children and young people, as well as individuals with neurodevelopmental variations, and social change work is a merit. You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing, as this is required in daily work.
