Family Resources is the social services' outpatient family therapy unit in Varberg Municipality. We work with children, youth, and families in change processes where the goal is to strengthen the family's own resources and create sustainable solutions together. Our services are provided on behalf of the social services' authority department and from autumn 2026 also through service access, services without financial assessment (IUB), directed directly to municipal residents.
We are now seeking two additional family therapists as we develop the operation ahead of the new social services law.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a family therapist, you meet children, youth, and families in different life situations and actively work to create security, change, and development. An important part of the work is to build trusting relationships and conduct conversations with children and young people where their perspectives, needs, and rights are central.
You work both independently and together with colleagues and collaborate with other professionals and actors around the family. The work takes place in our facilities, in families' homes, and in other settings where the family is located.
At Family Resources, we adapt our methods and ways of working based on each family's unique needs. The child perspective permeates the entire operation and we place great emphasis on respectful, clear, and professional interaction.
You have the ability to build trust and meet people with respect, clarity, and commitment. You are flexible, responsible, and can work independently while appreciating collaboration with colleagues. We also see that you have a good ability to reflect on your professional role and your interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who
• are a social worker or have other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
• have current and relevant experience in family therapy and psychosocial change work
• have experience meeting and talking with children and youth
• are confident working from a systems-theory and family-oriented perspective
• have good knowledge of the social services' mission and current legislation
It is meriting if you have experience with:
• treatment work in outpatient care with a special focus on conversations with children and youth.
• collaboration with schools, child psychiatry (BUP), or other authorities
• structured conversation methods and change work
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment form: Permanent employment.
Duration: Start date: 2026-10-30.
The position is a full-time permanent employment
Some evening and weekend duty may occur
Driver's license (category B) is required
A criminal record check will be requested before employment
