Foster Care Services in Järva works with children and young people ages 0–21 who are placed in foster homes. The operation consists of 39 employees divided between two units working closely together. As a member of our team, you'll receive daily support from your team leader and will be one of two family treatment specialists on the team. You'll work closely with colleagues and other stakeholders around each child to create the best possible conditions for them.
What we offer
Our unit has a present and accessible management that provides support in daily work. Each team leader is responsible for approximately eight employees.

Your role
As a family treatment specialist, your task is to contribute to sustainable foster care placements and secure reunifications by, among other things:
working with foster families and biological parents who need to strengthen interaction, communication, and relationship with the child/young person
working with children and young people with complex needs
guiding foster families when they need enhanced support in their role
preparing for and participating in contact visits
The work involves regular travel, both short and longer distances. Some evening and weekend work may occur. You'll also work on developing foster care services together with colleagues and management. The position is independent and involves responsibility for a number of your own assignments as well as ongoing documentation.
Your competence and experience
We're looking for someone who has:
A degree in social work
Experience with treatment work with children and parents
Training in systemic family therapy or other advanced training in treatment work that the employer deems equivalent
Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing
It's an advantage if you have:
Experience working with children and young people in municipal open care
Experience working within foster care services
Training and experience working with Mafi or Martemeo
We're looking for someone who is flexible and adapts easily to changed situations and different families' needs. You're stable and confident in your professional role, which creates trust in complex and sometimes demanding matters. You're engaged and actively contribute to the development of work methods and collaboration in the team. You have good collaboration skills and work constructively with colleagues and other partners around the child or young person. You're relationship-building and find it easy to establish trusting relationships with children, young people, families, and other stakeholders, always with a responsive and respectful approach.
