Job Description
SiS Youth Facility Gudhemsgården in Falköping is now recruiting two Family Counselors who want to make a vital difference for vulnerable people. Our target group is boys aged 16–21 placed under the Care of Young Persons (LVU) Act and in some cases the Provision of Care (LSU) Act. Our vision is to be a place for change, which guides our approach, commitment, and values. As a Family Counselor, you will work with the youth's families and networks with the aim of creating involvement and cooperation that contributes to positive treatment outcomes.
The work tasks are varied and include family therapeutic interventions, psychoeducational initiatives, parental training programs, and participation in network meetings and follow-ups. The position also involves close contact with both youth and treatment staff on the ward. Work with each individual youth is conducted in team collaboration with a psychologist, treatment coordinator, ward staff, nurse, and teacher. As a Family Counselor, you will have the opportunity to largely shape and plan your workday through digital communication, visits, and home visits based on the youth's needs.
Qualifications
You must also have:
A university degree as a social worker or in another behavioral science field, or alternatively other education combined with relevant work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Driver's license category B
It is also advantageous if you have:
Experience working with our target group.
Experience working in a government agency.
Experience in treatment-oriented work

Employment:
These are permanent full-time positions and will begin with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
