The Prevention Unit's mission is to offer early, preventive interventions and easily accessible support to children, young people, and families. The unit consists of ten activities; Family Support, Field Work, Grinden, Drug-Free School, SSPF Coordinator, Shanazi Heroes, Crime Prevention in Gävle, ANDTS Coordinator, and two family centers. The Prevention Unit also has two project-based activities, the School Social Team and Shanazi Heroines. The unit has 38 employees and two unit managers. Family Support offers various forms of parenting support to families with children and young people aged 0–20. We have thirteen family therapists who together develop and offer support based on families' needs. We work to be easily accessible and able to offer support quickly when needs arise. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Now we are looking for you who want to contribute to our preventive work and strengthen families through easily accessible support and knowledge-based approaches and working methods. As a Family Therapist at Family Support, you work with socially preventive efforts by offering support to children, young people, and parents. You meet families in different life situations and help strengthen their own resources and ability to create positive changes. Your job responsibilities include, among other things: • Offer parenting support through individual conversations, family sessions, and talks with children and parents in various constellations • Lead and develop parenting group activities • Work outward, sometimes together with preschools, schools, and other local actors • Participate in school meetings and other collaboration forums regarding children and families • Develop and strengthen collaboration with important partners • Contribute to the development of the unit's working methods based on families' needs, for example through service design With us, you get the opportunity to use your expertise in varied work where relationships, collaboration, and a preventive perspective are central. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Social work degree • Several years of experience in social work with children, parents, and families • Knowledge of attachment theory and systemic approaches • Driver's license (category B) and driving experience It is an advantage if you have experience with family treatment work. It is also an advantage if you have training and experience in leading the following parenting programs: • Circle of Security • All Children in Focus (ABC) • Children in Parents' Focus (BIFF) To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to be able to build trusting relationships and meet people with respect and responsiveness. You have a supportive and validating approach and the ability to create security, motivation, and participation among those you meet. Good conduct when meeting others is self-evident to you. You work in a structured manner and take responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and completing your tasks. At the same time, you are creative, curious, and open to finding new solutions when needs change. The role involves many contact points, so it is important that you take initiative in social settings and find it easy to build good relationships. You collaborate without ego with colleagues and partners with a focus on the common goal of providing the best possible support to children and families. Employment form: Permanent employment.
