VS Truck has service centers in several locations across Sweden and technicians stationed from Gävle down to Skåne. About the Position As a Field Mechanic, you will work with service, repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of construction equipment and trucks at VS Truck's customer locations. You will have your own customer base and be the primary contact for customers, delivering the personalized service that VS Truck has built its reputation on. You will plan your service work, order spare parts, and handle service administration. You will have a fully equipped service vehicle and work from home. The work is independent, though you will collaborate with a colleague on larger repair jobs. Specific responsibilities include: - Service, repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of primarily trucks, but construction equipment may also be involved - Service and repair planning - Technical support and customer advisory services - Spare parts management About You To be a suitable candidate for this position, you have: - Experience with mechanical service, installation, and troubleshooting of heavy machinery - Knowledge of vehicle electrical diagnostics and the ability to read electrical schematics - Knowledge of diesel engines - Experience with field-based work and customer interaction in some capacity - Proficient Swedish language skills, both spoken and written - Class B driver's license As a person, you are independent, trustworthy, and it is essential that you are solution-oriented and able to manage multiple focus areas simultaneously. You also have a strong quality mindset and work carefully with both your tasks and subsequent documentation. The Field Mechanic position also involves multiple contact points both internally and externally.
