Your role As a field assistant you work with and meet young people primarily between 11-18 years old and their parents or other important adults, both in places with adult presence such as schools and youth centers, and where adults are absent such as on streets and squares. You work outreach, build relationships and prevent risks within substance abuse, crime and mental ill-health, conduct classroom lectures and lead parenting programs. You will be part of a team of 10 field assistants, all working throughout the district area. You work on a schedule with working hours during daytime and evening on weekdays each week, with at least one evening per week until 22:00. Evening work (Friday and Saturday 16:00-01:00) every fourth week. The weekend schedule changes according to season and emerging operational needs. We carefully monitor trends, events and emerging needs to adapt our operations. The position also includes: Having contact with parents and sometimes leading meetings or visits. Collaborating with police, schools, associations and municipal social services. Sharing knowledge about youth trends and current situational assessments with collaboration partners or parents. Visit us on Instagram: faltarnaeav Your competence and experience We are looking for you who: Have a social work degree Have experience in social field work and/or similar psychosocial and preventive work with young people and/or adults. Are used to collaboration and have knowledge of social services legislation. Express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. As a person you are independent and talkative, with the ability to create structure in outreach field work. You like to motivate solutions and self-efficacy, create alliances and build relationships. In the work you need to be flexible and adapt to changing situations based on the municipal mission. We see that you are calm and stable even in pressured situations and enjoy working in a team.
