About the Unit
The Swedish Armed Forces Parachute School, FMFS, is part of the King's Life Guards (K 3) located in Karlsborg. The Parachute School's main task is parachute service and is responsible for all parachute service within the Swedish Armed Forces. FMFS is a relatively small unit filled with specialist expertise in all aspects of parachute service. FMFS trains, develops and maintains all jumping units' parachute capability and airborne supply capability, both nationally and internationally.
Main Work Tasks
The primary responsibility of a parachute technician is to maintain airborne equipment at the unit. You will do this as part of a team whose primary task is to pack parachute systems, provide corrective and preventive maintenance on all airborne systems at FMFS.
You may be on high standby and business travel both domestically and abroad occurs to a large extent. Work outside regular office hours occurs.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
Good skills in expressing yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
Upper secondary school education
Current experience from practical/manual work

K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion. The ranger battalion is a highly mobile unit that should be able to be first on the scene in an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground and unmanned aircraft (RPAS).
