HVB-Institutet i Roslagen AB is a company with extensive experience in social work and currently holds a license to operate an HVB (residential care facility) for youth as well as consultant-supported foster care and family home care. We have formal education and expertise, adequate experience, and above all a strong work ethic with our youth's individual needs in focus. We are currently seeking staff who can work extra shifts with varying hours. Milton HVB is located in Norrtälje. Milton is a small, family-oriented HVB home with 5 places. Our target group is youth aged 14–18 years who have been in at-risk environments, committed crimes, experimented with drugs, and/or have threatening behavior. We accept placements under SoL (Social Services Act) and LVU (Care of Young Persons Act). We work using the KOBTIVA method – Cognitive and Behavioral Training in Everyday Life – an evidence-based treatment method for youth with social problems. Our goal is to offer a safe, structured, and predictable operation. We train our youth to create and maintain functional behaviors that are sustained over time. To be qualified for a position with us, you need at least two years of post-secondary education in social work. By this we mean you are trained as a treatment pedagogue, treatment assistant, or social pedagogue. It is also fine if you are trained as a behavioral scientist or social worker. We also want you to have experience with our target group. It is a merit if you have knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as knowledge of Neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) and mental health issues in children and youth. It is also a merit if you have experience working with extensive behavioral problems. We are looking for you as an engaged and driven person with the ability to work structured and systematically in everyday life. As a person, you are warm and empathetic, communicative and attentive. You are curious and take responsibility for your own part as well as for our youth, and you strive to be a clear and good role model. Furthermore, you need to be patient, confident in yourself, and have the ability to handle conflicts in a constructive way and maintain calm in stressful situations. You understand the importance of having a shared view of our daily treatment work. You have a strong ability to set clear boundaries and are at the same time flexible in an eventful environment. You have a very strong ability to create professional and safe relationships where you can also stand firm in potential conflicts. As extra staff with us, you will participate in the daily treatment work with the youth. As extra staff, you will be offered work shifts during daytime/afternoons/evenings/nights as well as weekends. In certain periods, you may also be offered shifts with overnight duty. You must be able to follow both oral and written instructions in accordance with our work method and with ongoing support from your immediate supervisor. The method requires that you can express yourself well in speech and writing and have good computer skills, as documentation is an important tool in the work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and a requirement is that you have experience with treatment work at an HVB for youth. Prior to employment, you are required to provide an extract from the suspicion and conviction register. We also want to contact references from previous employers. Please note that this position requires you to have a B driver's license for a manual car. We ask you to respect our requirement of 2 years of post-secondary education in social work as we do not deviate from this requirement in our operation.
