Welcome to us Enskede-Årsta-Vantör District Administration operates the short-term residential facilities Turinge and Stureby for children and young adults with disabilities under LSS. With us, our guests come to a safe environment with the possibility of environmental change, social community, and meaningful leisure time. The work is varied and is based on each individual's needs and circumstances. You meet children and young people with different disabilities, which requires flexibility, attentiveness, and professional conduct. We work with a pedagogical approach where the focus is on participation, independence, and security, and where low-arousal care is a natural part of daily work. The work mainly involves serving evenings, weekends, and nights, but some daytime hours may occur. Your role As a support assistant, you provide support to our guests in their daily lives based on individual needs and circumstances. You work with care, contribute to structure and security in everyday life, and participate in activities and leisure activities. An important part of the work is meeting each individual based on their needs and adapting your approach accordingly. You work with a pedagogical approach and use low-arousal care to create security in your interactions with our guests. The role also includes collaboration with colleagues and contact with family members. You contribute to a good work environment through respectful and professional conduct. There is a need at both Turinge and Stureby short-term residential facilities, which gives you a varied work day and the opportunity to get to know several facilities and work groups. Your competence and experience We're looking for you who: Have experience working with children and/or people with disabilities Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Have basic computer skills It is advantageous if you have: Education as a nursing assistant or other education that the employer deems equivalent Experience with documentation Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) Experience with low-arousal care To succeed in the role, we see that you are a secure and stable person with good personal maturity. You are solution-focused, communicative, and have good cooperation skills. You have a calm and respectful approach and the ability to build trusting relationships with guests, family members, and colleagues. You are attentive to the individual's needs and can adapt your approach based on different situations. You take responsibility for your work tasks and contribute to a good work climate. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Other information The position involves work as needed, mainly on evenings, weekends, and nights. Daytime hours may also occur based on the facility's needs. Before employment, you must provide a copy of an excerpt from the criminal record. Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis.
