About the Job as a Personal Assistant As a personal assistant, you help and support the children based on their individual needs, both at home and during various activities. The work is about creating a sense of security while giving children the opportunity to be involved, active, and do what other children do. Experience working with children or in care is a plus, but not required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is engaged, responsible, and enjoys working with children. Work Tasks Work tasks vary based on the children's needs and activities and may include: assistance with personal hygiene support and help with mobility meals and light household chores accompanying and assisting with leisure activities and outings The children greatly enjoy swimming and swim year-round. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can and feel comfortable swimming with them during work hours. Assistive devices are available, but manual lifts and transfers do occur. You need to have patience, be aware of the children's needs, and be quick to learn new tasks. It's important that you're comfortable with work where days can vary and where play, activities, and movement are a natural part of everyday life. About the Position The employment is "For a fixed term as long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the compensation is hourly wages.
