Welcome to apply for a job with us! About the Job You will support the Digitalization Department's network team starting in the fall. Within the network team's focus areas are tasks such as adapting drawings for coverage maps, measuring the wireless environment (Site-Survey) for better coverage. We have major lifecycle management for the access network in the coming year, and this includes a lot of work in the cross-connections. You will work with the infrastructure through simple configurations, reviewing fiber connections, connecting/disconnecting outlets, and replacing hardware as well as documentation. Handling simpler cases from our users/customers is also included to a limited extent. You will work largely independently. About You We are looking for someone with upper secondary education in network technology or who is near the end of your education with a focus on network technology. You may also have other upper secondary or post-secondary education, for example in IT, combined with professional experience in network technology. You have an interest and practical experience working with tasks in a large network, such as identifying unused fiber cables, connecting cables, configuring equipment according to instructions. If you have knowledge of Aruba campus WiFi, Aruba Central, switching/routing, Alcatel Lucent switches, Omnivista, this is meritorious. As a person, you are self-driven, thorough, and quality-conscious. You have very good ability to communicate in Swedish verbally. The position requires that you can absorb technical documentation written in English. The IT Infrastructure Unit, where this position is placed, is responsible for the design, development, management, and maintenance of the university's IT infrastructure as well as handling security issues. Scope based on operational needs but can be adjusted in dialogue based on individual circumstances. Start September 2026 through August 2027 or by agreement.
